More shovelware slop, in my personal opinion. However in the wasteland that is the Wii U’s library, you take what you get.

EDIT: I should have been more clear. The Wii U has plenty of quality games, my wasteland statement was meant to portray how almost every third party developer under the sun has abandoned the system.

Unfortunately, I sadly will have to pass on this.

@Chaotic_Eevee Whilst I agree that there are some Wii U games that are poor, I think it is a bit far to say the library is a wasteland. There are many good games such as: Smash 4, Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Super Mario 3D World, Splatoon, Captain Toad, Zombi U and many more. I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m just stating my opinion, so please don’t take it the wrong way.

I like classic Disney songs. Heck even Disney theater releases have good songs these days. Unfortunately the new shows/TV movies on the Disney Channel don’t interest me at all. I miss the golden years of hand drawn animation shows. I’m sure kids will love it but hardcore Disney fans, like myself, will stay away.

@firechicken98 Because it’s a big hit within the casual market, and continues to sell well. Don’t get me wrong, it’s always been nothing more than shovelware to me, but I guess if it make Ubisoft money, then of course they’ll continue to milk it by releasing a new entry ever year (cough*Assassin’s Creed*cough, which are still good games, but suffer from over saturation)

@Miles_Edgeworth Pardon moi, I should have been more clear. The Wii U has plenty of quality games, my wasteland statement was meant to portray how almost every third party developer under the sun has abandoned the system. I agree with you sir on those titles and more being quality releases.

I’m interested to know if this series actually sells well still? My understanding was that last year’s release sold most of of the units on the original Wii, but that still didn’t add up to much in terms of actual copies sold.

This would have been an instant purchase, if it wasn’t so much new.

I would love to have one with songs like Davy Crockett, the Mickey Mouse club intro, the Annette ballet song, Zippe de do da and such.

  Just Nope: Ubisoft Edition

I would have liked a Wii U version of Assassins Creed: Rogue not this Just Dance trash no matter the content. Just so I could get the bad taste of Watch Dogs out of my system. Black Flag on the Wii U was great! It looked beautiful, had an amazing soundtrack, and most importantly, it was the most fun I had with the series. I had hoped for a good game from Ubisoft (after the slap in the face that was Watch Dogs…) just for the core gamers that still kept their Wii U to have something great going out on a high note. Not this depressing string of shovelware.

@Chubblings As far as the AC games go, I would have liked to see Assassins Creed: Rogue ported to the Wii U at least. Black Flag was a great entry with great appeal due to the golden age of pirate lore. It plays very well on Wii U and is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Sure the series is milked to no end but the same goes for most all of the games they produce with Zombi U and Watch Dogs being the only new IP’s in ages. Rayman titles are another milked franchise along with Splinter Cell and Far Cry. Titles that they publish under their brand are the rare exception.

That being said, I’d like a modern interpretation of one of my GBA favorites, Advance Guardian Heroes which they had published for Sega.

@Pahvi My guess would be that Disney own the rights to the Marry Poppins songs. and it would feel natural for me if they included songs like Supercalifragelisticexplialidoucious (or how we write it)

It would be far more interesting than those new Disney Channel shows they are including.

While I am not interested in Just Dance games myself, I will say if this Just Dance Disney game get even 1-1000 people to buy a Wii U I would say why not .

Hopefully this Just Dance Disney game will create a (little) domino/snowball effect in the casual market to buy Wii Us, even if the chance aren’t that big ;^^.

Still as long as we Nintendo fans inform young Disney fans we personally know it will likely help .

Considering its the only thing they make for Nintendo nowadays, I’m surprised they haven’t tried making a Just Dance Mario Mix yet.

Exactly. Nintendo’s hardware owning fanbase are the only ones to blame for the current 3rd party situation. Well, them and Nintendo itself.

  @BinaryFragger @gatorboi352

I don’t think it is that we Nintendo fans don’t want third party games, but rather picky about which ones we want.

While I really love Nintendo games like Zelda, I also really love many of Square Enix’s games like Kingdom Hearts, TWEWY, and Dragon Quest . Also games like Okami, Ori and the Blind Forest, Dust: An Elysian Tail and many, many more games ^^.

What we need is at least need for the Wii U is Square Enix VC games like Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger and gladly some Final Fantasy titles too . (And a Miiverse community for Kingdom Hearts DDD).

@BinaryFragger @gatorboi352 Typically speaking, the people who enjoy games don’t like the popular franchise “Just Dance”. If you were waiting for a cool new video game and got Just Dance I know you wouldn’t be excited either. Most Nintendo fans are gamers not dancers. So when all of the hardcore games are taken away, and all that’s left is this dancing game, naturally, you can see why many would be frustrated. It’d be the same way if it was for PS or XBox

@Mahe 0.5 million were on the Wii U, whereas ZombiU sold almost 0.9 million. I’d rather have a half***ed zombi2 that sells 0.5 million than another just dance.

@jjmesa16 Duck Tales is coming back, apparently. Maybe that will start a trend. Disney live-action tween television just does not work for this parent. We try to watch shows that don’t pander. Most PBS shows are so much better and are entertaining for all ages though there are misfires. Odd Squad is pretty great. (Was so sad when my son didn’t take to Curious George as much as our daughter. We loved watching that show.)

As far as Disney animated TV goes, there was a brief bright spot with Tron Uprising. Now, Star Wars Rebels just gets better every episode, can’t wait for more of that… though I don’t see that listed here.

Just Dance is great, though. And what’s with the notion that gamers don’t dance?! What on earth? What does one thing have to do with the other? Both are for fun, right? My advice for anyone that feels that way is to get over yourself and dance a little.

I do wish there was a way for parents to limit which songs were available on the main series, though. My ten-year-old daughter and her friends don’t need to sing or do all that.

@Tsurii Just Dance: Disney; is bland. The Just Dance series is still very alive & hopefully will be. These really are more Social games & casual. It is fun when played with the right group of people.

I’ve always longed for a Just Dance: Assassin’s Creed edition, where you have to lunge uncontrollably and then jerk to a halt as you try to keep in time with the two blokes having a conversation that you aren’t listening to because you keep lunging in front of hidden marksmen and off of buildings your supposed to stay on.
